About Hotel Galogre:
Two buildings of the high class hotel “Galogre” are constructed in the Centre of Old Batumi, in front of the Orthodox Church in 1996-2000 years by well-known businessman and maecenas Oleg Galogre. He restored the Saint Nicholas Churh also. At first only one, presently acting building was stipulated for the hotel, but the other one was supposed to be used as a dwelling house.
After death of Oleg Galogre his family decided to reconstruct the other building under hotel too. Common space of the building – 5000 sq.m, inner courtyard and plot of 2200 sq.m are situated between two – Vakhtang Gorgasali and King Parnavaz streets. The courtyard adjoins with and has own exist to town square “Piazza”. The magnificent views of the Batumi Bay and the ambient mounteens open from the hotel’s terraces. Presently 18 rooms are functioning at the hotel (9 standard and 9 suite).
It is supposed to set 24 rooms in operation for summer 2011 also. The hotel “Galogre” is situated 15 minutes’ jurney from the airport and the rail-way station and 10 minutes’ jurney from the marine terminal and the town beach. The little streets, originally lighted and faced with granit, together with the restaurants and the shops, make our hotel attractive for the tourists day and night. Here, next to the hotel are the catholical church, the mosque, the synagogue too. Inner parking for the motorcars and all the kinds of hotel comfort shall make your rest in our hotel unforgettable. Frequent guests of the hotel are the well-nown artists and singers. The most distinguished among them Placido Domingo was our guest on 25 November 2010.
